Divine Benevolent Multipurpose Cooperative Society (DBMCS) seeks to mobilize funds through various donors nationally and internationally to mitigate the sufferings of Nigerians in agriculture, skills, processing, production and manufacturing.

DBMCS therefore shall be mobilizing adult Nigerians who may be interested in our various programmes by registering them for such funds/grants. The organization shall engage all her registered members in intensive skills and knowledge based trainings to enhance their capacity and economic life in each state of the federation where the organization has members mobilized.

Divine Benevolent Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited has a hierarchical structure with a board at the pinnacle to oversee the activities of the body down to the grass root. The organization holds the office of the National Coordinator in high esteem. The national coordination is the eye of the board and as such, down the line, we have state coordinators that report to that office. DBMCS runs with the six geo-political zones of the country. Each zone has a Regional Coordinator who reports to the national coordinator as well.

Divine Benevolent Care Organization (DBCO) has a broader vision to enhance the business and economic life of all her members to make them self reliant. You can access the organizational chart of DBCO on this site for more insight.

“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.”

Since inception, Divine Benevolent Care Organization (DBCO) has a focus of bettering the lives of rural dwellers through skills development, capacity building, household economic strengthening and community development among others. Over the years women, widows, youths and other vulnerable groups have benefited from our various programme which success stories abound.

“Due to the rising rate of poverty and economic degradation in Nigeria, We decided to make a positive change… to make people smile”

Divine Benevolent Care Organization embarked on the cooperative business with women, widows and men from five communities each in two local government areas in Rivers State (Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni and Emohua LGAs) since 2016 to enhance business and saving life of the people.

The idea of registering cooperatives for our members in each of the ten communities in the above LGAs was born out of the desire to reduce the burden of the organization since these persons were registered with the organization so as to provide some basic needs of life to them and assist in the education of their children; and as well, to boast their trades in our own little way.

Periodically, the organization, in line with her annual work plan, organizes charity programmes in various communities where variety of food items, including wears and household properties are being distributed. On every December as well, DBCO organizes annual Christmas party/buffet in honour of orphans and widows as part of the organization’s way of care and support to them annually. During such annual parties, the organization serve the people with luscious meal and at the end, they are given enough food stuff and gift items to cushion the effect of the economic stress.

The leadership of Divine Benevolent Care Organization thought it wise, then, to teach her registered members how to cooperate and save from their little trade and farm proceeds. We engaged them in two days capacity building on the gains of cooperative societies and why they have to buy shares, save and attend meetings. The training was a success and certificate of registration of the various cooperatives were handed over to the leadership of each of the communities.

Due to the rising rate of poverty and economic degradation in Nigeria, which has drastically impacted negatively on our target groups, Divine Benevolent Care Organization, a not for profit/non-governmental organization established on the first day of March 2011 and incorporated, according to the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) with registration number CAC/IT/NO 82860 on the 30th day of November 2015 with the sole aim of meeting the needs and solving the problems of vulnerable groups in Nigeria and Africa at large, incorporated a multi-purpose cooperative society called Divine Benevolent Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited in the year 2018 to mitigate their sufferings.

Divine Benevolent Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited (DBMCS) runs with a mission and vision statement as a driver.
