Our Profile - Introduction

Divine Benevolent Care Organization (DBCO) is a not for profit non-governmental organization established on the first day of March 2011 and incorporated, according to the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) with registration number CAC/IT/NO 82860 on the 30th day of November 2015 with the sole aim of meeting the needs and solving the problems of vulnerable groups in Nigeria and Africa at large.

The organization, DBCO seek to intervene in focused areas like capacity building, skills development, health and nutrition, education, shelter, household economic strengthening, protection, community development, water, sanitation and hygiene in urban and rural communities.

DBCO have affected over 21,000 lives; including orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), women and widows, youths, the destitute, less privileged, rural dwellers and people living with HIV/AIDS through free medical programmes (including tests for genotype, blood group, retroviral screening, malaria parasite, urinalysis, random blood sugar (RBS), fasten blood sugar (FBS), PCV, eye test, free glasses, drug administration, antenatal for pregnant mothers, etc.);

distribution of food and cloths; distribution of school books and materials; scholarships (crèche, nursery, primary, secondary and university); sheltering of orphans and vulnerable children in the organization’s orphanage, empowering women and widows by providing farming tools and implements, incorporating a cooperative society for over 90 widows as members, capacity building trainings, skills development for OVC and many more.

Divine Benevolent Care Organization had over the years, funded her community projects through sourcing for funds locally from corporate indigenous organizations, religious bodies, philanthropists, family members, friends and executive director’s contributions.

DBCO is now seeking for funding locally and internationally from donor organizations to mitigate the sufferings of indigent peoples who have been made vulnerable as a result of death of parents, chronic terminal diseases, HIV/AIDS (either affected or infected), communal crisis, cult related activities, oil pollution and environmental degradation.
